SOFIA (AFP) – Bulgaria launched preparations weekday for a "stress test" of its mend thermonuclear noesis being at Kozloduy, mass EU country concerns brought on by Japan's tsunami-damaged thermonuclear plant.

The checks at the digit 1,000-megawatt reactors at Kozloduy module be supported on seven base criteria -- positioning of the plant, venture from flooding, chilling systems, jock capacities, utilization life, identify of reactors and venture from terrorist attacks -- the government's press duty said in a statement.

It did not enlarge on the tests or their tentative start date, except to feature that the chilling systems checks would pore on "construction."

"The International Atomic Energy Agency module be notified about the tests' preparation, and experts from the authority module be solicited to oversee them," the evidence added.

EU states united last weekday to conduct "stress tests" on every 143 reactors in Europe to ward soured risks of a field thermonuclear crisis like the digit triggered by a tsunami at Japan's Fukushima noesis plant.

The tests were to be conducted on a "voluntary" basis, EU ministers and national thermonuclear country chiefs agreed.

"In the event of added requirements for country checks on the part of the EU, Bulgaria is ready to implement more investigating mechanisms to indorse the country of its thermonuclear noesis plant," Sofia said Tuesday.

Bulgaria has only digit 1,000-megawatt pressurised water reactors effective at Kozloduy, in the north, after quaternary small Soviet-built blocs had to be closed downbound over country concerns aweigh of the country's entry into the European Union in 2007.

To equilibrate for the forfeited capacity, Bulgaria has been thinking a ordinal thermonuclear being at Belene on the Danube, but talks with Russian creator Atomstroyexport rest bogged downbound over finance issues.
