The second of a unify of fallen statues of King Tut's granddaddy has been revealed at the spot where he was buried, Egypt's antiquities minister declared today (May 31).

It was discovered at Kom el-Hettan, on the west slope of Luxor. The monument is settled in the structure leading to the funerary temple's ordinal gate, or pylon, some 200 meters (656 feet) behind the Colossi of Memnon, which guarded the prototypal gate.

These archeologic discoveries move to shed light on King Tutankhamen, the boy power who ruled empire from 1333 B.C. to 1324 B.C., during the period of ancient Afrasian history famous as the New Kingdom.
