Magnitude-6.2 quake shakes east Russia (AP)

NEW YORK – A magnitude-6.2 earthquake rattled the easterly coast of country nearby the Kamchatka Peninsula, the U.S. Geological Survey reportable Sunday. There were no unmediated reports of alteration or injuries, and no wave signal was issued.

The quake struck at 9:43 a.m. at the epicenter (4:43 Eastern time, 2143 time Sunday), Which was whatever 4,140 miles (6,660 kilometers) easterly of Moscow, the USGS said, fireman to Nihon than the Slavonic capital.
