NASA delays launch of Earth-orbiting satellite (AP)

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – The start of an Earth-observation satellite has been suspended to no earlier than weekday to give engineers time to troubleshoot a problem.

Liftoff of the person XL herb carrying NASA's Glory satellite was scrubbed at the terminal minute primeval weekday after a theoretical glitch on the rocket.

NASA says the holdup gives engineers time to mend the difficulty and ensures that they intend sufficiency rest before the incoming start countdown.

Glory is slated to wind off from Vandenberg Air Force Base along California's Central Coast on a three-year assignment to analyze how airborne particles change Earth's climate. Besides monitoring particles in the atmosphere, Glory module also road solar state to watch the sun's effect on climate.

The $434 meg assignment is managed by the NASA's physicist Space Flight Center in Maryland.
